Ministry Training
In order to be as effective as possible, Group Leaders receive live training, training manuals, lesson plans and supplies, lesson instruction sheets (including worship music lyrics), and access to on-line resources promoting youth ministry.
Live training for all Group Leaders is provided by LifeSong in mid-January, just prior to the start of the curriculum year. The training is offered at various times and days during Training Week to accommodate scheduling needs. If a Group Leader is unable to attend one of the designated Live Training Sessions, she should contact LifeSong as soon as possible to arrange an alternative training date and time. LifeSong asks all Group Leaders to ensure that they have completed training prior to the commencement of the curriculum year.
LifeSong training is comprehensive and covers a variety of topics that prepare the Group Leaders for using the lesson materials, working with the on-line resources, and being successful at teaching and Christian ministry. Group Leaders should anticipate spending approximately 3.0 hours in live training and another 1.0 hour completing the training manual course.
